Clone REA289 recognizes the T cell leukemia/lymphoma protein, a 14 kDa symmetrical b-barrel structure protein also known as oncogene TCL-1 or protein p14 TCL1. The TCL1 locus on chromosome 14q32.1 is frequently involved in chromosomal translocations and inversions with one of the T cell receptor loci in human T cell leukemias and lymphomas.
