Clone 5G6 recognizes the sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 10 (Siglec-10) antigen, a member of the CD33-related group of siglecs. The cytoplasmic tail of Siglec-10 contains four tyrosines, two of which are embedded in ITIM-signaling motifs and are likely to be involved in intracellular signaling. Amongst peripheral blood leucocytes, Siglec-10 was found to be expressed on eosinophils, monocytes, and B cells.
