Clone REA580 recognizes the human and mouse SHIP-1 antigen, which is a 145 kDa protein with an N-terminal SH2 domain, an inositol phosphatase domain, and two C-terminal protein interaction domains. SHIP-1, also known as enzyme phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate 5-phosphatase 1, is expressed on hematopoietic cells, including immature CD34+ cells, the majority of T cells, and a minority of B cells.
