Clone REA1473 recognizes the human cell type-specific MAR-binding protein SATB2. It is a DNA-binding protein that specifically binds nuclear matrix attachment regions and is involved in transcriptional regulation and chromatin remodeling. SATB2 is highly expressed on nerve cells in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus. Special nerve cells in these brain regions contain the protein SATB2.
