Clone REA1441 regognizes the human transcription factor RUNX3 (AML2), also called Acute myeloid leukemia 1 protein or CBFA3. It belongs to the Runt-related transcription factor (RUNX) family of genes that are also known as core binding factor-α (CBFα). These proteins form a heterodimeric complex with CBFβ. RUNX3 (AML2) funtions as a regulator for growth of gastric epithelium and neurogenesis of dorsal root ganglia. Furthermore it plays a role in T cell differentiation. It has a role as a tumor suppressor, expression is dysregulated in human cancers.
