Clone REA1486 recognies the receptor tyrosine kinase ROS1, that plays a role in epithelial cell differentiation and regionalization of the proximal epididymal epithelium. It may activate several downstream signaling pathways related to cell differentiation, proliferation, growth and survival and has structural similarities to the anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) protein. ROS1 is also known as c-ros-1, MCF3 or ROS. Gene rearrangements involving the ROS1 gene were detected in cell lines and different cancers, e.g. NSCLC, gastric, Angiosarcoma, lung, ovarian carcinoma, sarcoma, cholangiocarcinoma
