REA1514 recognizes the human PSCA (Prostate stem cell antigen), a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored cell surface protein and is a member of the Thy-1/Ly-6 family of antigens. PSCA may be involved in cell signaling and potentially plays a role in cell adhesion and proliferation. PSCA is overexpressed in many prostate cancers and also in other cancers like pancreatic and bladder cancers. It's been identified as a potential biomarker for prostate cancer diagnosis and prognosis, and is also being investigated as a target for immunotherapy and other therapies.
