Clone REA1499 recognizes the Osteocalcin, a protein which is mainly produced by osteoblasts, Osteocalcin binds ccalcium in the bone matrix, contributing to bone strength and stability. It supports the production of insulin in the pancreas and improves insulin senitivity in muscle and fat tissue. So it is a prtective factor in type 2 diabetes. Furthermore it may have protective effects against neurodegenerative diseases. Additional information: Clone REA1499 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
