Clone REA481 recognizes an intracellular epitope of the human multidrug resistance–associated protein 1 (MRP1) antigen, a 190 kDa multi-pass membrane protein also known as ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 1 (ABCC1) or leukotriene C(4) transporter. MRP1 was initially identified because of its ability to confer multidrug resistance in lung cancer cells.
