Thrombopoietin (TPO), also termed megakaryocyte growth and development factor (MGDF), is a glycoprotein hormone and the major stimulator of megakaryopoiesis and platelet production. It promotes the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells, primitive progenitors, megakaryocytes, and platelets.MACS GMP Recombinant Human TPO is designed for ex vivo cell culture processing. No animal- or human-derived materials were used for the manufacture of this product. The product is lyophilized without carrier protein or preservatives.
