人整合素 alpha-6 抗体对

01AB03643

Integrin subunit alpha 6 (ITGA6) is a crucial membrane protein that forms part of the integrin family, which are heterodimeric receptors composed of alpha and beta chains. ITGA6 primarily associates with beta 4 (α6β4) and beta 1 (α6β1) to facilitate cell adhesion and signaling, particularly in epithelial cells where it plays a vital role in maintaining skin integrity through hemidesmosomes. Mutations in the ITGA6 gene are linked to several diseases, most notably epidermolysis bullosa with pyloric atresia (EB-PA), characterized by severe skin blistering and gastrointestinal obstructions due to compromised cell adhesion. Additionally, ITGA6 is implicated in the progression of various carcinomas, including prostate cancer, where altered expression and localization of α6β1 and α6β4 integrins enhance tumor cell migration and resistance to apoptosis.
