人 FTCD 抗体对

01AB00325

FTCD (Formimidoyltransferase Cyclodeaminase) is an enzyme involved in the metabolism of histidine and folate production. It plays a crucial role as a tumor suppressor in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Downregulation of FTCD expression, often caused by DNA methylation, is strongly associated with HCC progression, larger tumor size, vascular invasion, advanced tumor stage, and poor survival. FTCD deletion promotes lipid accumulation and malignant transformation in HCC mouse models. Clinically, lower FTCD levels correlate with higher HCC risk in cirrhotic patients. Mutations in FTCD can also cause glutamate formiminotransferase deficiency, a rare disorder affecting physical and mental development, with a severe form characterized by profound intellectual disability and megaloblastic anemia.
