人 Fibrinogen gamma Chain 抗体对

01AB04026

Fibrinogen gamma chain (FGG) is a critical component of the fibrinogen protein, which is essential for blood coagulation. It is one of the three polypeptide chains that make up fibrinogen, along with the Aα and Bβ chains. The FGG gene provides instructions for producing the gamma chain, which combines with the other chains to form functional fibrinogen. Upon injury, thrombin cleaves fibrinogen to convert it into fibrin, forming a stable mesh that constitutes blood clots. Mutations in the FGG gene can lead to several bleeding disorders, including congenital afibrinogenemia, characterized by a complete absence of fibrinogen and severe bleeding tendencies. Other conditions associated with FGG mutations include hypofibrinogenemia and dysfibrinogenemia, which result in decreased or dysfunctional fibrinogen levels, respectively.
