抗人 Cystathionase/CTH 抗体对

01AB02739

Cystathionine gamma-lyase (Cystathionase/CTH) is a cytosolic, pyridoxal 5-prime-phosphate-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the final step of the trans-sulfuration pathway. It converts cystathionine into cysteine, ammonia, and 2-oxobutanoate, and also utilizes cysteine and homocysteine to generate the gasotransmitter hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Through the production of H2S and subsequent protein sulfhydration, CTH modulates essential physiological processes including vasodilation, blood pressure regulation, and inflammation. It is also vital for maintaining neuronal cysteine levels necessary for cognitive function. Clinically, impaired H2S formation due to CTH dysregulation is associated with hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and age-related cognitive decline. Furthermore, altered CTH expression is linked to tumor progression in several cancers, including nasopharyngeal carcinoma, where it promotes cell proliferation and invasion.
