CD200 molecule (CD200) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily characterized by two extracellular Ig-like domains. It is broadly expressed on B cells, T cells, neurons, and endothelial cells, and functions as a ligand for the inhibitory receptor CD200R. This interaction delivers immunosuppressive signals that down-modulate the activation of macrophages, microglia, and dendritic cells, thereby maintaining immune homeostasis and tolerance. CD200 plays a significant role in regulating anti-tumor immunity and is highly expressed in various hematologic and solid malignancies. Clinically, CD200 is a recognized marker and therapeutic target in hairy cell leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and multiple myeloma.
