Clone REA1446 recognizes the HDAC1 enzyme, also known as Histone deacetylase 1, and belongs to the histone deacetylase/acuc/apha family and is a component of the histone deacetylase complex. HDAC1 interacts with retinoblastoma tumor-suppressor protein which is important for cell proliferation and differentiation. HDAC1 deacetylates with metastasis-associated protein-2 MTA2 the p53 protein and modulates its effect on cell growth and apoptosis.
