Clone REA1079 recognizes the alpha subunit of the murine high-affinity Fc receptor for IgE. The receptor is composed of one alpha, one beta, and two disulfid-linked gamma subunits, of which the alpha subunit binds IgE1. FcεRIα is expressed on mast and basophilic cells and is up-regulated in the presence of IgE. The FcεRI complex plays an important role in triggering IgE-mediated allergic reactions.Additional information: Clone REA1079 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
