Clone REA1354 recognizes the human EphA2 protein, a member of the ephrin receptor subfamily of tyrosine kinase family, which binds to GPI-anchored ephrin-A ligands. EphA2 is detected in brain and glioma tissue and glioma cell lines, and tissues with a high proportion of epithelial cells. An upregulation of EphA2 is found in breast, prostate, and colon cancer vascular endothelium. EphA2 is a potential marker for treating malignant tumors. Additional information: Clone REA1354 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
