Clone REA515 recognizes human DC-associated C-type lectin 1 (dectin-1), an approximately 33 kDa single-pass type II membrane protein, which is also known as C-type lectin domain family 7 member A (CLEC7A) or beta-glucan receptor (BGR). It promotes the phagocytosis of intact yeasts and glucan particles such as β-1,3-linked and β-1,6-glucans, thus playing an important role in anti-fungal immunity.
