CD62L, also known as L-Selectin, LECAM-1, or LAM1, is a cell adhesion molecule on lymphocytes and belongs to the selectin family of proteins1. It recognizes sialylated carbohydrate groups and is continuously cleaved from the cell surface by ADAM17. CD62L acts as a homing receptor for lymphocytes to enter secondary lymphoid tissues via high endothelial venules and is commonly found on the cell surface of T cells. Naive T cells and central memory T cells express CD62L to localize in secondary lymphoid organs. CD62L is continuously endoproteolytically cleaved from the cell surface of CD62L-expres
