Clone REA921 recognizes the mouse CDw198 antigen, also known as C-C chemokine receptor type 8 (CCR8). CDw198, a G-protein coupled receptor with seven transmembrane regions, is a member of the beta chemokine receptor family, which binds to the T cell activation gene 3 (TCA-3) and CCL1. CDw198 is primarily found in thymus. It is expressed in activated Tʜ2-polarized cells and NK1.1+ CD4+ T cells, but also in subsets of monocytes, macrophages, and monocyte-derived dendritic cells.
