Clone REA1158 recognizes the human CD66e (CEACAM5) antigen, also known as CEA (Carcinoembryonic antigen), a cell-surface-anchored glycoprotein, which is a member of the Ig superfamily. CD66e (CEACAM5) plays a role in in cell adhesion and contributes to tumorigenicity by inhibiting cellular differentiation. CD66e (CEACAM5) is used as an important tumor marker for colorectal and other carcinomas.Additional information: Clone REA1158 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
