CD66 constitutes a gene family whose members belong to the family of carcinoembryonic antigens (CEA). They are involved in a wide variety of physiological processes such as embryonic development, pregnancy, bile transport, as well as pathological conditions such as cancer, bacterial or viral infection, and inflammation. CD66a (CEACAM1), CD66b (CEACAM8), CD66c (CEACAM6), and CD66e (CEACAM5) are differentially expressed on some epithelial cells as well as on T cells, NK cell subsets, and granulocytes, especially neutrophils.Additional information: Clone REA1230 displays negligible binding to Fc
