Clone REA563 recogizes the mouse CD63 antigen. It belongs to the tetraspanin transmembrane 4 superfamily (TM4SF) of proteins, which are characterized by four membrane spanning domains. Tetraspanins, via various homotypic and heterotypic interactions, regulate the spatial location and trafficking of associated transmembrane partners, eventually regulating and co-ordinating various signaling pathways.
