This cell adhesion molecule is a α/β transmembrane heterodimer of the ubiquitous integrin superfamily which is expressed by megakaryocytes and platelets. The CD41/CD61 complex plays an significant role in hemostasis and is also involved in fibrinogen binding and platelet aggregation.Additional information: Clone REA607 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
