Clone REA202 recognizes the CD317 antigen, which is a lipid raft-associated type II transmembrane glycoprotein. CD317 is composed of a short N-terminal cytosolic domain, a transmembrane domain, and a C-terminal glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol anchor. Expression of CD317 is upregulated in the presence of IFN-α on T and B cells, is found on the apical surface of polarized epithelial cells, and on myeloma cells.
