Clone REA380 recognizes the mouse CD304 antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein also known as neuropilin-1 or blood dendritic cell antigen-4 (BDCA-4). There are differences in the CD304 expression between mice and humans. In mice, CD304 is selectively expressed on natural T regulatory cells and greatly enhances immunosuppressive function. It is also expressed on a subset of invariant natural killer T cells, endothelial cells, and neurons.
