Clone REA224 recognizes the mouse CD272 antigen, which is also known as B- and T-lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA) or B- and T-lymphocyte-associated protein. CD272, an Ig domain superfamily receptor protein with similarities to cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 and programmed death-1, is expressed on various cell types like splenic T and B cells, macrophages, NK cells, dendritic cells as well as lymph node tissues but very weakly in somatic tissues.
