Clone REA244 recognizes the CD258 antigen, a type II transmembrane protein, which is also known as tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 14 (TNFSF14), herpes virus entry mediator ligand (HVEML), or LIGHT, the acronym for “homologous to lymphotoxins, inducible expression, competes with HSV glycoprotein D for HVEM, a receptor expressed on T lymphocytes”.
