Clone REA347 recognizes the human and mouse CD256 antigen, a protein which is a member of the TNF ligand superfamily and also known as tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 13 (TNFSF13) or a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL). CD256 is expressed at high levels in transformed cell lines, cancers of colon, thyroid, lymphoid tissues, and specifically expressed in monocytes and macrophages.
