Clone RIK-2.1 reacts with human CD253, a 30 kDa protein also known as TNF-related apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL). It binds to the death receptors DR4 and DR5. CD253 can be expressed on transformed and virus infected cells. It can also be expressed on activated lymphocytes.
