Clone REA273 recognizes both mouse CD229 antigen alleles, Ly9.1 and Ly9.2. CD229 is a glycoprotein of the SLAM family also known as Ly9 or SLAMF3 which is a homophilic cell surface receptor present on a variety of immune cell types including T cells, B cells, NK cells, and thymocytes. It has been shown to interact with the adaptor proteins, SLAM-associated protein and EAT-2.
