Clone REA1398 recognizes human CD198 (CCR8), member of the beta chemokine receptor family. It is expressed on . CD198 (CCR8) may regulate monocyte chemotaxis and thymic cell apoptosis. It functions as receptor for the chemokine CCL1/SCYA1/I-309 and also as receptor for CCL18. CD198 (CCR8) is also believed to be an alternative coreceptor to CD4 for HIV-1 infection.Additional information: Clone REA1398 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
