Clone REA370 recognizes the mouse CD166 antigen, a Single-pass type I membrane protein also known as Activated leukocyte cell adhesion molecule (ALCAM). CD166 is a member of the immunoglobulin gene superfamily which is expressed by activated leukocytes and thymic epithelial cells and is a ligand for the lymphocyte antigen CD6. It is also expressed at high levels in the brain and lung, at lower levels in the liver and the kidney, and on a number of cell lines.
