Clone REA519 recognizes the mouse CD155 antigen, which is a 70 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein in the immunoglobulin superfamily. CD155, also known as poliovirus receptor (PVR), belongs to a large family of Ig molecules called nectins and nectin-like proteins, which mediate cell-cell adhesion, cell migration, and serve as entry receptors for viruses. CD155 and its family member CD112 (nectin-2) are the ligands for the activating cell-surface receptor DNAM-1 on CD8+ T cells and natural killer (NK) cells.
