Clone PV404.19 recognizes the human CD155 antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein also known as poliovirus receptor (PVR) or nectin-like protein 5 (NECL-5). CD155 is composed of two Ig-like C2-type domains and one Ig-like V-type domain that is necessary for poliovirus binding and uptake. Four different isotypes (α to δ) exist, originated from alternate splicing of the CD155 mRNA. CD155 is a broadly expressed receptor which is, e.g., found on monocytes, a T cell subset, and neurons of the central nervous system. CD155 is also expressed on some CD34+ progenitor cells, particulary on proge
