Clone REA1334 recognizes human CD153, a type II membrane glycoprotein also known as TNFSF8 (Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 8) andCD30L belonging to the TNF superfamily. CD153 is a cytokine, that binds to TNFRSF8 and CD30. It is involved in the proliferation of B and T cells, in antigen-specific antibody production and polyclonal immunoglobulin secretion , and has an improtant role in the T cell-dependent anti-mycobacterial immune response.
