Clone TKS-1 recognizes the mouse CD137L antigen, a Single-pass type II membrane protein also known as 4-1BB ligand (4-1BBL) or Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 9 (Tnfsf9). CD137L is expressed on activated APC and plays an essential role in regulating adaptive immune responses. Its receptor, 4-1BB is an inducible costimulatory member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor family expressed on activated CD4 and CD8 T cells. 4-1BB can enhance both the proliferation and the survival of murine CD4 and CD8 T cells.
