抗 HERC5 磁珠
02AB00084
E3 ISG15--protein ligase HERC5 (HERC5) is a member of the HERC family of ubiquitin ligases and functions as an interferon-induced E3 protein ligase that mediates ISGylation of target proteins. It is a multidomain protein with a HECT domain and five RCC1 repeats. HERC5 localizes to the cytoplasm and perinuclear region and acts as a modulator of the antiviral immune response. It broadly modifies newly synthesized proteins in a cotranslational manner, with viral proteins being primary targets in interferon-stimulated cells. HERC5-mediated ISGylation has been shown to interfere with the function of key viral structural proteins, such as ebolavirus VP40 or HIV-1 GAG, and attenuate the virulence of influenza A virus by ISGylating the NS1 protein. Dysregulation of HERC5 has been associated with influenza. Its ability to promote the production of cytokines that facilitate bacterial clearance highlights its importance in the immune response beyond viral infections.
